PRESENTATION

The Japanese watchmaker explores the infinite possibilities of its high-end Series 8 collection, unveiling three new models. These new automatic variations, including a limited edition, combine
design, magnetic resistance and water resistance to 200m.
The three new models include a steel edition with a midnight blue dial, a pink gold-plated edition with an anthracite grey dial, and a limited edition with a pink sakura dial. Their cases feature a unique three-piece construction, an elegant octagonal bezel and mirror and brushed finishes. The thick design of the bi-directional inner bezel gives these watches an even sportier look.

DESIGN & MOUVEMENT

The dial design of both steel and rose gold-plated editions, also featured on the 880 model launched in 2023, is inspired by Tokyo’s night sky and its countless skyscrapers with square windows of various sizes. A modern version of the traditional Japanese checkerboard pattern, used for centuries to symbolize prosperity. This motif has been updated to offer a bolder, more distinctive dial on these new versions.
The sapphire crystal caseback of the new Series 8 watches reveals the self-winding Calibre 9051, a product of the CITIZEN Manufacture. This movement achieves a daily precision of -10 to +20 seconds, with a 42-hour power reserve. Its particularity lies in its increased resistance to the magnetic fields generated by all the connected devices that surround us, enabling it to maintain its level of precision in all circumstances (Calibre 9051 has a magnetic resistance of up to 16,000 A/m). Another particularity of the 9051 movement is that, on these three new models, it is now water-resistant to 200m.
