Hugh Bradner was an eminent physicist and pioneer of diving. Following a successful military career during the Second World War, Hugh Bradner was responsible for developing a solution to overcome the low capacity of soldiers to evolve in cold water.He developed an ingenious system using Neoprene for create a wetsuit. It is this “combination” that revolutionized scuba diving and democratized the activity among the general public.

PRESENTATION

The Bradner watch is a vintage diver, developed with a compressor style case with a two-way rotating bezel. Although the watch has a decidedly vintage aesthetic, it was designed and manufactured to take advantage of the best of modern watchmaking.

In particular, the inner rotating bezel is a custom molded ring with five-minute markers placed horizontally right, parallel to the dial for better readability. Beyond that, a liberal application of Swiss Super-Luminova on the ring was undertaken to give this measure of elapsed time greater visibility in low light conditions.

The main dial also contains an applied minute marker ring and a square shaped index that corresponds to the stick-shaped hands. All were also covered with Swiss material Super-Luminova.

The SEIKO NH35 movement, Japan Made, renowned for its robustness and longevity, equips the SP-5062-03.

Dressed in a water resistant leather strap and stitched at the ends, this diver allows a successful underwater exploration.
